I work with a lot of entrepreneurs. By and large, most entrepreneurs have similar admirable qualities. They are internally driven, risk takers, and they are visionaries. They all want to grow – to be bigger, and they are willing to do what it takes to get there.

What do I mean?
You see, I find a lot of times that business owners are passionate about doubling their sales. But they don’t always even know what they are doubling from! They don’t have a baseline knowledge of the reality of their numbers to use as a guide – so they don’t know what to double!
Fortunately, this is an easy fix! Any business owner that wants to double their sales needs a goal and a strategy. And they also need to know a number that they want to double to!
So, let’s get down to business. The first step toward formulating a strategy for doubling your sales is taking an inventory of all of your numbers. What are your sales, your expenses, profits, etc?
I find that most business owners are surprised when they take a real raw look at the numbers in their business. They aren’t surprised in a bad way – they are simply enlightened about the inner workings that they previously didn’t have a firm grasp of.
Most of the time, it’s pretty empowering!
