Your Playbook from the Industry’s Best Business Coaches (that I’ve been personally mentored by!)

I often get asked how to reach the next level of success. For many, it has a dollar amount attached to it, and others will often say something along the lines of desiring balanced time or financial freedom. My answer to this question? Well, it isn’t a quick one, but I do believe that if you follow the advice of some of the industry’s best coaches (whom I’ve been personally mentored by), you will take giant leaps forward toward your goals because they have certainly helped me reach my goals. Now I am passing their wisdom on to you.

Let’s get started!

Define your business goals and create a clear roadmap to achieve them.

As a business coach, one of the most important things I help my clients with is defining their One Great Goal and creating a clear roadmap to achieve their goals, specifically their quantum revenue goal. When you know what you’re aiming for, it’s much easier to create a plan to get there. And when your roadmap is clear, you can avoid detours and roadblocks that can waste time and money. Every business is different, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to goal-setting. However, there are some universal principles that can help you get started. First, work backwards from the end result by ensuring your goals are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. Second, create actionable steps that will move you closer to your goals. And third, don’t be afraid to revise your goals as your business grows and changes. By following these simple tips, you can set your business up for success. As my coach Elizabeth always reminds me, “There is ALWAYS a way.” You can find my favorite goal-setting exercise in my award-winning book, ‘One Great Goal’ and you can find YOUR way, too!

Develop a strong personal brand that differentiates you from your competition.

These days, it’s more important than ever to have a strong personal brand. With so much competition out there, you need to find ways to differentiate yourself from the rest. One way to do this is to focus on your strengths and build a brand that highlights them. Are you the best carpet cleaning company for commercial businesses in a specific area? Make sure your branding reflects that. Although I wasn’t personally mentored by Louise Hay, I have read many of her books and followed her journey. Her brand was about healing yourself in every area AND having a successful business. What I love most about her story is that she got started later in life with her business and really showed the world that you can become a multi millionaire at any age, it’s never too late!   Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and be really authentic like Louise was – the more people see your brand, the more likely they are to remember it when they’re in need of your services. Start today and build a brand that will help you stand out from the competition.

Build a powerful network of like-minded women who can support and collaborate with you.

One of the best business decisions I ever made was to invest in building a powerful network of like-minded women. These are women who understand the unique challenges and opportunities that come with being a business owner, and who can provide both support and collaboration. Having a strong network of business-savvy women has been invaluable in helping me to grow and scale my business. Not only have I been able to rely on these women for advice and guidance, but I’ve also been able to forge valuable partnerships that have helped me to take my business to the next level. If you’re serious about growing your business, invest in a similar network of supportive women business owners. Many of my early mentors came from the relationships that I built through the National Association of Women Business Owners in California.  To this day, I am still mentored and supported by that amazing group of women!

Create systems and processes to streamline your business operations.

No business can function without efficient systems and processes. In order to streamline your business operations, you need to take a close look at the way things are currently being done and identify areas for improvement. Are there any tasks that could be automated? Are there any steps that could be eliminated? Are there any processes that could be made more efficient? Once you have identified areas for improvement, you need to create new systems and processes to address them. This may require some trial and error, but it will ultimately save you time and money in the long run. Don’t be afraid to experiment with different approaches until you find what works best for your business. Rebekah Hall, one of the Master Coaches at Ursula, Inc. is an expert at streamlining business operations and I’m so grateful that I’ve been able to work closely with her for over a decade and so have our clients!  Rebekah always reminds us that business operations might not be “sexy” but it’s the glue that holds your business together so you can scale to the next level.

Continuously invest in your professional development to keep up with the latest business trends.

Whether you’re a start-up or a seasoned business owner, it’s important to continuously invest in your professional development. With the business world constantly evolving, it’s crucial to stay up-to-date with the latest trends. While there are many ways to do this, attending workshops and seminars is a great way to gain new insights and skills. Hiring a business coach is another excellent way to ensure you’re always on top of your game and you are 95% more likely to reach your goals simply by having a coach! As a business coach, I work with my clients to help them identify areas for improvement and then create actionable plans to reach their goals. If you’re ready to take your business to the next level, investing in your professional development is the best place to begin. The best investments I’ve ever made in my company are the investments I made in my own personal development.  I invested in my first serious business coach at the height of the recession, 2009, when my bank account was empty! But I can tell you it was the best money that I ever put on my credit card because my business grew from low 6-figures to multi 6-figures and I became a #1 bestselling author that year.  Would that have happened if I hadn’t been in coaching? Absolutely not! That coach taught me the importance of thinking bigger, even when the economy is “bad”, because that’s when most millionaires are made!

Follow these simple steps, set your business up for success, and thrive in today’s competitive marketplace. Write your own business playbook today!
